A year old baby escaped unscathed after a vehicle in which he was travelling with his parents was involved in a near fatal accident on the Adenta-Dodowa road in Accra on Friday night.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene of the accident, a speeding Opel Vectra saloon car from Dodowa and a Benz 207 driving at regular speed were involved in a head-on collision, injuring occupants of both vehicles.
The driver of the saloon car suffered a higher degree of injury as compared to that of the passengers of the Benz 207.
The Benz 207 had three passengers on board; the driver together with his wife and 1-year-old child.
Eyewitnesses say the injured were quickly rushed to the Faith Catholic Hospital off the Dodowa road.
The accident created traffic on the Adenta-Dodowa stretch of road as the Police were absent to control the situation.
