Veteran Ghanaian radio presenter Alexander Kwaku Amoah, popularly known as DJ Candyman, has appealed to the public for financial and moral support as he undergoes treatment for kidney-related complications.
In a heartfelt message, the veteran broadcaster said he never imagined he would have to publicly seek help but has been compelled to do so as his health continues to deteriorate.
DJ Candyman is currently receiving treatment at Walter Aiden Specialist Clinic in Asokwa, Kumasi, and is appealing to all well-wishers to support him through the difficult period.
“Any financial contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way towards my treatment and recovery. Please help me fight this battle. I believe that with your prayers, support, and God’s grace, I will overcome this,” he added.
DJ Candyman has been a familiar voice in Ghana’s radio and entertainment industry for more than three decades.
He has been associated with several radio stations including Radio Lynk, Fox FM, Hello FM, Rainbow Radio, Atinka FM and Asaase Radio.
His long career has earned him recognition as one of the veteran voices who contributed to the growth of radio broadcasting and entertainment in Ghana.
As he continues his treatment, DJ Candyman is counting on the support of the public to help him through his current health challenge.
