Two heavy-duty trucks crash at Kwahu Hwidiem

Traffic was disrupted at Kwahu Hwidiem in the Nkawkaw Municipality after two MAN diesel trailers collided in the early hours of Sunday, June 14, 2026.

The crash left diesel spilled across sections of the road, along with shattered glass and debris, raising concerns about the safety of motorists using the route.

According to preliminary information gathered at the scene, the collision occurred when one of the trailers allegedly attempted to overtake the other. The impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles.

Emergency responders and police officers were deployed to the scene to manage the situation and prevent further incidents.

The diesel spillage and debris were cleared from the roadway to restore safe passage for motorists, while traffic was regulated to ease congestion along the affected stretch.

Despite the severity of the collision and the damage caused to the two heavy-duty vehicles, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
