The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) recorded three separate fire incidents across parts of the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, August 30, 2026, with firefighters containing the blazes and preventing further destruction.

At Kaneshie Presby, personnel from the Industrial Area Fire Station responded to a fire that started in the garage of a five-bedroom house.

In a Facebook post, GNFS said the blaze was contained, with all five bedrooms and their contents salvaged. However, a solar battery was destroyed in the incident.

At Burma Hills, firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station battled a fire at an ECG secondary sub-station, which suffered partial damage. No injuries were recorded.

Meanwhile, at Abelempke, personnel from the Legon Fire Station carried out cooling operations following a domestic fire that had already been extinguished.

Although the incident destroyed a control panel and four solar batteries, firefighters managed to protect a four-bedroom apartment, three cars, four polytanks, two water pumps and a generator set from further damage.

The GNFS said the causes of all three fires are under investigation.
