Tension is brewing within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kade Constituency of the Eastern Region following allegations by some constituency and polling station executives that the party’s album has been tampered with ahead of an upcoming election.

The aggrieved executives, who addressed the media, expressed concern over the alleged alterations, warning that the development could deepen divisions within the constituency as preparations for the polls intensify.

They have called for the matter to be addressed, arguing that the integrity of the party’s album is crucial to ensuring a credible and peaceful election.

The executives also expressed frustration over what they described as being sidelined despite their contributions to the party’s victory in the 2024 general elections.

They alleged that some individuals who are not members of the party had been appointed to positions, a situation they believe disregards the efforts of committed party members.

The aggrieved executives further called for changes to some current constituency executives, saying such a move would help restore order, promote unity and strengthen cohesion within the party ahead of the election.

The allegations come barely a week before the scheduled polls, raising concerns among the aggrieved members about the potential impact on party unity and the smooth conduct of the election.
