A group calling itself Concerned NPP Youth of Asuogyaman Constituency is accusing former Member of Parliament of the area, Kofi Osei Ameyaw for fueling confusion and division within the party.
The group claim Kofi Sei Ameyaw who is currently Executive Director of the National Lottery Authority, is using five individuals including Kwame Wontumi, owner of Asuogyaman FM, the presiding member of the Assembly Jonathan Hagan and an Assemblyman for Akwamufie Stephen Adu Acquah to ridicule the Asuogyaman MCE Mr Agyekum and paint him as corrupt in the eyes of the masses.

Others accused by the group are former finance officer of the Assembly, Mr Bismarck Okra and YEA district Coordinator, Marvin Akonor.
Addressing a press conference at Akosombo, spokesperson for the group, Jacob Kpovonu said the five people and their paymasters have set an agenda to smear the Asuogyaman MCE with mud of corruption and stir public anger against him in a manner to lead to his removal from office.
He said, Mr Kofi Osei Ameyaw has staged a comeback ambition to Parliament and he sees the MCE as a threat to his ambition hence doing everything possible to get him out of office and have a leeway.

According to the group, this singular action of Osei Ameyaw is creating a sharp division in the Asuogyaman NPP and the earlier party leadership acted on it, the better for them.
Some members of the group also expressed their views over recent developments in the party.
Attempts to reach Hon Osei Ameyaw for a response has proved futile.
