Team members of Adom FM, as part of Dwaso Nsem’s ‘My Road My Vote’ campaign, took to Somanya, Koforidua and Akyem Oda, all towns within the Eastern region enclave to inspect the state of roads in the area.
Reporting from Somanya, Bennett Yawuvi said there were massive road projects that were on-going in the Krobo enclave but were put on hold by the Akufo-Addo-led government under the excuse of contract reviews.
Akwasi Azor, reporting from Akyem Oda and its environs also narrated how a pregnant woman in labour lost her life on the deplorable road while being transported to the hospital.
Maxwell Kudekor reporting from Koforidua disclosed how roads in the area have been left to deteriorate.
The campaign, which is not targeted at this government, is meant to initiate a comprehensive conversation among government, road contractors, engineers, consultants and road users.
