TD Mobile, a subsidiary of Technology Distributions (TD) a Nigerian IT Distributor as part of its social responsibility has held a cleanup exercise at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and its environment.

The exercise which is part of activities to mark its first anniversary in Ghana was in collaboration with Zoomlion Ghana Limited, the leading Waste Management Company in the country.

Staff and management of the company cleaned the environs of Circle with implements supplied by Zoomlion Ghana Limited.

Aside the cleanup exercise, staff of TD Mobile engaged in public education for traders at Tiptop Lane on how to clean their environment and also stop littering and dumping indiscriminately.

Country Manager for TD Mobile, Thara Mills said the reason why they organized the clean-up was to help the youth to be very conscious about personal hygiene in order to prevent cholera outbreak.

Thara Mills expressed concern about the fast rate at which people were turning drains in the city into waste dump sites and called for the stiffer punishments for those who go contrary to the byelaws governing the city.
