The Northern Regional Police force has arrested two suspected highway robbers, Sadiq Abdulai and Sadat Mohammed for robbing travelers on Tamale Yendi road between Sang and Yendi on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, the highway robbers engaged more than five cars during the operation and copped unspecified amount of monies from them.
The Northern Regional Police spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Yussif Tanko confirming incident to Adom News said police have arrested two of the suspected armed robbers to assist in the investigation.
“There was a robbery attack in between Yendi and Sang around 1:00am on Tuesday morning. We have arrested two of the suspects…”.
“They are Sadiq Abdulai and Sadat Mohammed. They robbed about five cars. We would urge them to assist in the investigations…” he said.
