Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Kurt Okraku is urging the management of Hearts of Oak to release prolific attacker, Kwame Kizito to the Swedish outfit following the expiration of his contract.
He suggested the team accepts compensation from BK Hacken, the football team based on Sweden expressing interest and allow the player his freedom.
Kwame Kizito shot into lime light in the just ended season scoring seven goals for the Phobians in the league and was part of the WAFU winning team also finding the back of the net once against Niger in the group stages.
This performance by the young attacker gained admiration from many clubs including Swedish side BK Hacken who have offered $25,000 as compensation for his mother club.
But the management of Hearts of Oak are dragging their feet given the contribution of Kizito to the team.
However, on Asempa FM’s Ultimate sports show Friday, Mr. Okraku said Hearts of Oak stand to gain more if they accept the offer.
“I will advise Hearts of oak to take the money and let Kizito go because they stand to lose everything even on legal grounds since he has no running contract with the club”, he added.
Hearts of Oak finish third o the league log in the just ended 2016/2017 premier league season and as runners up of the MTN FA CUP losing gold to arch rivals Asante Kotoko.
