The musician’s quest to have fibroids removed almost turned fatal due to medical negligence.

Madam Seal, in an interview with Zionfelix, revealed that she had the procedure at one of Ghana’s notable hospitals, and though she was scared, they assured her of excellence.

“It was my very first surgery. I was very scared since my best friend’s mother died from same fibroid surgery so I did not want to be put to sleep. I wanted to see and hear everything but not feel the pain. So they injected me with anesthesia.”

However, Madam Seal said the health workers did not wait for the drug to take effect before they began operating on her.

She recounted how she screamed and went ballistic due to excruciating pain she felt when the side of her stomach was slashed wide open.

“I don’t even want to remember it. I almost died twice. The anesthetist panicked and wanted to administer another one. I began screaming ‘don’t put me to sleep’, but they ignored and injected the drug into my cannula.

Madam Seal said she was dazed but awake and felt everything, including the moment the doctors pushed her womb back into it’s place.

At some point, she narrated that she dozed off and woke up in her private ward, but her pain was far from over.

She was close to death again after her surgery but was saved narrowly by a nurse whose contact she had saved on her phone.

According to her, the anesthetist apologised profusely for the expensive mistake.

“The anesthetist came to me to apologise. She said she was going through a relationship challenge and she was confused. She said it was her fault she should have taken me through test to see if I was numb or not.”

Madam Seal said the apology, coupled with some personal reasons deterred her from suing the hospital as she had intended.

According to her, she has been through a lot of setbacks in life, but that particular incident is still embedded in her memory and she doubts she will ever forget.

Obaapa Christy and Stella Aba Seal publicly hug out feud https://www.adomonline.com/obaapa-christy-and-stella-aba-seal-publicly-hug-out-feud/ Wed, 24 Aug 2022 13:38:26 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2153899 Two of the country’s top gospel musicians who were at loggerheads recently have smoked the peace pipe.

Stella Aba Seal and Obaapa Christy have been spotted hushing out their differences at an event in Accra.

This came days after Obaapa included the veteran in her 20th anniversary celebration lineup without seeking her approval.

Stella’s manager took to social media to issue a disclaimer stating that they knew nothing about Obaapa Christy’s flyer which indicated her participation in the concert.

Per the statement, the veteran singer had taken a strong exception to the incident and cautioned other event organisers against emulating the same.

Obaapa subsequently apologised on Daybreak Hitz for not informing Stella Seal first before publishing the poster.

However, the latest development occurred at the launch of Abena Serwah Ophelia’s new single Womfa Mma No on Tuesday night.

After the event, Obaapa Christy and Stella Aba Seal solidified their reunion.

They were seen in a dialogue in the company of Stacy Amoabeng and some other personalities.

I apologise for my actions – Obaapa Christy tells Stella Aba Seal https://www.adomonline.com/i-apologise-for-my-actions-obaapa-christy-tells-stella-aba-seal/ Mon, 22 Aug 2022 15:06:50 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2152786 Gospel artiste, Obaapa Christy, has apologised to colleague musician, Stella Aba Seal after the latter released a statement that her 20th-anniversary celebrations were fake.

This is after Stella Aba Seal’s manager took to social media to issue a disclaimer stating that they knew nothing about Obaapa Christy’s flyer, which indicated her participation in a 20th-anniversary concert.

Reacting to it for the first time on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, Obaapa Christy apologised to her colleague and her team for not informing them first before publishing the poster.

“Firstly, Stella is a veteran, I am her daughter and I apologise for my mistake. If you explain things too much, you might end up making too many mistakes. I had good intentions for what happened, but it tuned out bad. I appreciate and respect Stella so much,” the ‘Wagye Me’ hitmaker said.

Explaining further, Obaapa Christy revealed that her plan was to honour some veteran gospel musicians who have worked hard to sustain the music industry for young ones like herself.

She added that failure to seek permission from Stella Aba Seal was an oversight, especially since she was busy due to the event preparations and the outdoor of her new restaurant.

“I had plans of honouring some veteran musicians. It was never to only bring them for performances, but it was just an oversight as I had already reached out to the majority of the male musicians who had already agreed to these plans,” she explained.

“Obaapa Christy also stated that God understands things better and know why they happen in our lives.” Quoting the Bible, she urged Christians to accept things the way they are, whether good or bad.

“Though I didn’t call Stella’s team, it was not with a bad intention, I had told her my real intentions, I am sure she would have thanked me for planning to honour her,“ she said.
