Stop the joke and present yourself as an alternative to the people of Ghana, New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency, George Mireku Duker, has urged the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to Mr Mireku Duker, the opposition NDC must admit there are challenges in Ghana and they should be able to provide ideas on the issues.

“The NDC must stop the joke and present themselves as an alternative to Ghana. We need to be serious and move forward as a country by focusing on the competence of the people,” he asked of the NDC.

The comments of the legislator follow the release of a list believed to be friends and cronies of President Akufo-Addo, occupying positions in government, an act the NDC say is a ground for breeding corruption.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam, Mr Duker described the series of press conferences held by the NDC as a joke and laughable.

“It is sometimes a joke and I wonder why a party will hold a press conference to speak the way they do. The NDC is struggling like an artiste who makes 500 songs but none of them becomes a hit. They have held about 400 press conferences but none of them is a hit,” he jabbed.
