The Minority in Parliament has staged a walkout again over a seeming disagreement with the Speaker on the running of affairs in the House.

They say the Right Honourable, Reverend Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye has been largely unfair to them, especially to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

This comes after the Speaker refused to allow Ranking member on Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa comment on a statement by Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Habib Tijani on the issue of 25 Ghanaian migrants stranded in Spain.

The Speaker said Hon. Ablakwa had forfeited his opportunity to comment on the issue because he first went to the media with his complain.

Addressing a media briefing outside Parliament, Mr. Ablakwa said the speaker’s ruling is alien to the rules of the House.

Mr. Ablakwa wants Prof. Ocquaye to know he is Speaker and not a monarch.

Meanwhile, Minority in Parliament say they will challenge the Speaker’s ruling preventing Okudzeto Ablakwa from asking his question.

But chairman on Foreign Affairs Committee, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has mounted a spirited defense for the Speaker.

He said the Minority are just making empty noise just to paint the Speaker bad.
