A total of GHC 1,554,436 was spent by forty (40) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) on the purchase of fuel for Assembly vehicles in the year 2015.
The amount was quoted in the Auditor General’s report on the Management and Utilisation of District Assemblies’ Common Fund and other Statutory Funds for the year ended 31 December, 2015.
The startling revelation came to light on the ‘Fabewoso’ segment of Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Wednesday.
