Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has called on his teammates to quickly shift focus to their next assignment, stressing the need for discipline ahead of Tuesday’s trip to AFC Bournemouth.
His comments came after City’s FA Cup victory over Chelsea at Wembley Stadium, where they edged past the Blues to lift the trophy on Saturday.
Attention now turns to the Premier League, with City set to face AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday, May 19.
Speaking after the cup final, Semenyo emphasised that there would be little room for extended celebrations as the squad immediately refocuses on domestic duties.
“I don’t think there will be many celebrations tonight. It’s about getting ready for Tuesday,” the Ghana international said.
“Just train the same way, and hopefully results fall into our hands. So we just have to pray it happens.”
“I’m enjoying every day and enjoying all these trophies. Hopefully, we can finish off the job by the end of the season,” he added.
