The Second Lady, Samira Bawumia has expressed his regret over the death of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, the soldier who was lynched in Central Region Monday.

Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, allegedly mistaken as an armed robber, was lynched and burnt in the Central Region by some angry youth on Monday morning.

On her Facebook wall today, the second lady said:

“I am deeply saddened and truly horrified at the murder of Captain Mahama. No human being should be subjected to such barbaric acts! My heart bleeds for his family and loved ones. May they find peace and comfort. I pray the perpetrators are brought to book soon…”
