Nigerian music promoter and socialite Sam Larry has broken his silence after surviving a fatal road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Road in Nigeria.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, reportedly involved the vehicle he was travelling in crashing into a trailer.
While Sam Larry survived the accident and was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, his bouncer reportedly died at the scene.
Photos and videos circulating on social media showed the badly damaged vehicle involved in the crash, highlighting the severity of the accident.
Following the tragic incident, Sam Larry expressed gratitude to God for preserving his life while mourning the loss of his associate.
In a statement shared after the accident, he extended his condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the deceased.
“With a heavy heart, I want to express my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of our brother. This is a heartbreaking loss that words cannot fully express. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, have mercy on his soul, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen,” he wrote.
The music promoter also prayed for strength to cope with the tragedy and asked for prayers for everyone affected.
“I am grateful to Almighty God for preserving my life, and I pray for the strength to carry this painful experience. Please keep everyone affected by this tragedy in your prayers,” he added.
