Rapper Medikal has said he does not live a fake lifestyle just to trend on social media.

The rapper, who recently ditched singer Sister Derby for Fella Makafui says it wasn’t for media hype.

According to him, he is real with everything he does and he buying a new car for lover, Fella Makafui, after her alleged ex-boyfriend asked her to return the ones he bought for her, was not “staged”.

He told Andy Dosty in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that even though some people still believe his break up with Sister Derby is mere stunt, it isn’t so.

“They see it to be staged but it wasn’t. It is because they see it to be surreal. I already wanted to surprise Fella Makafui. I woke up and I saw the video of her ex-boyfriend asking for his cars back. I was already getting her a car and she was unaware because I wanted to do the paper work first… I didn’t want her name tarnished.”

Asked why he never got Sister Derby a car, Medikal simply said, “I never bought her a car but there were other things I did for her that I can’t disclose. I can deposit a million dollar in her account and it’s not something I would wanna disclose,” Medikal explained.

The AMG rapper is currently promoting “The Connect Concert”, which is set to come off at the West Hills Mall this Friday, December 21.
