The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Pru East, Abdul Nassir Dauda, has presented 1,028 hexagonal tables and chairs to the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the district to improve teaching and learning, particularly at the kindergarten level.

The presentation forms part of the District Assembly’s commitment to strengthening early childhood education by providing pupils with age-appropriate classroom furniture to create a safe and conducive learning environment.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News reporter Daniel Tachie after the handing-over ceremony, the DCE said the initiative demonstrates the Assembly’s determination to support quality education and ensure that every child has access to the necessary facilities for effective learning.

Abdul Nassir Dauda noted that investing in education remains one of the Assembly’s key priorities in promoting academic excellence in the district.

He urged school authorities to take proper care of the furniture and ensure that it is distributed fairly among beneficiary schools to maximise its impact.

The Pru East District Director of the Ghana Education Service, Sylvester Tabiasi-Naa, who received the items, expressed appreciation to the District Assembly for the timely intervention, describing the donation as a significant boost to education delivery in Pru East.

He assured the Assembly that the 1,028 hexagonal tables and chairs would be properly distributed and maintained to enhance classroom teaching and improve learning outcomes for pupils across the district.
