Chairman Darkwa accused the police of robbing him at gunpoint after they took away his white Daewoo Matiz car with registration number GW 1808-13 and an undisclosed amount of money.

Chairman Darkwa as he is popularly called, who is also a spare-parts dealer at Abossey Okai wondered why the police who are supposed to ensure law will engage in such an act.

But the Central Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Oppong on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Thursday said preliminary investigations show that what happened wasn’t a robbery incidence.

DSP Irene Oppong, however, assured of transparent investigations into the matter to ensure the culprits are brought to book.

  1. eiiiiiii ghana police!!! you couldn’t arrest the person but able to arrest the car because it contains cash? I refuse t accept the fact that armed police weren’t able to arrest one man who is not under drug or whatsoever. This case needs proper investigations. Seriously speaking I don’t believe the police side of this story.
