General Manger of Pioneer Food Cannery, Nicole John Elizabeth has stated that the company is worried about the misconception some Ghanaians attach to the company’s operations.

He said people hold the view that the company has poor safety standards leading to maiming of some workers, strong stench, lack of space among other negative practices.

Speaking to Adom News, he said these negative perceptions are affecting the image of the company.

“As you could see, the situation here is far different from what the public hold about us. We have adequate space and safety is a priority here. The standard here is the same in every country across the globe that we operate in including the United States,” he indicated.

According to him, the company which is the leading exporter in the fishery category can’t fall below international standards.

Nicole John Elizabeth said Pioneer Food will continue to abide by laws of the land.

“We work closely with governmental agencies including Environment Protection Agency, Ghana National Fire Service, Factory Inspectorate, ministries among other institutions,” he said.

  1. If they want a positive perception from the public they should do something about the stench. It’s unbearable. Is there no alternative to this stench they have been forcing down our nostrils for all these years?
