A 30-year-old man, Isaac Bonnie, has been arrested by the Awutu Breku Police for allegedly killing his lover at Gomoa East District in the Central Region.

The Awutu-Breku Station Officer, Chief Inspector Stephen Tamakloe, narrating the incident to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei said the suspect travelled from Madina in Accra to commit the murder.

He said the father of the deceased was a witness to his daughter asking for a break-up with the suspect.

The suspect, they assert, could not take the break up lightly so he followed up to allegedly kill the lady.

“He left Madina to commit the murder in the Central Region. People must be careful when others threaten to kill them. They were never married nor engaged…”, the policeman said.

The police have meanwhile taken the body to the morgue pending investigations while they prepare to arraign Mr Bonnie before a court.

We are going take the body to the morgue after which the suspect will be taken to the police station for further investigations. Initially, he said he used a stick but looking at the body he used a sharp cutlass. If we are not careful the head will even drop. She is her former boyfriend…” he said.
