A heavy downpour on Monday dawn has displaced dozens of residents at Assin Fosu in the Assin North Municipality of the Central region.
The heavy storm unroofed the Presbyterian Basic School where academic work has been halted until further notice.

Text books and other teaching and learning materials were destroyed by the rain.
The School Management Committee chairman of the school, Mr. Isaac Kusi Appiah, is appealing to NADMO to come to their aid as the situation has affected teaching and learning.

Adom News’ Alfred Amoh reported that dozens of homes were filled with rain water which rose to several feet high, forcing residents to evacuate.
He said the displaced residents have been left with no option but to spend the rest of the days with friends and relatives after the devastation.
