The National Peace Council has charged the two main political parties, New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to adopt and fully implement the roadmap on vigilantism.

According to the Chairman of the Council, Reverend Emmanuel Asante, the roadmap designed by the Technical Committee is to deal with party militia which has become a security concern.

The Chairman cautioned the parties that failure to adopt the roadmap will be a disruption of the entire process.

“There is no doubt party vigilantism has become a security concern in Ghana and some of these victims may never forgive the perpetrators of these crimes, especially when prosecution may have been truncated and these people walk freely on our streets,” he cautioned
