The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to hold a nationwide weeding exercise in honour of its flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama.

The exercise is to be held concurrently in all regions and district capitals on Saturday, November 16, 2019.

This was contained in a statement signed by NDC’s National Organizer, Joshua Hamidu Akamba and copied to Adomonline.com.

The exercise, according to the party is to follow the exemplary leadership of Mr Mahama after he led his security detail to clear overgrown weeds in front of the new Military Cemetery in Accra.

“The exemplary leadership, the leadership of the party believes must be replicated across the country to rid the country of filth that has engulfed us under the watch of Akufo-Addo and his failed sanitation Minister,” the statement said.
