The organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) have postponed the start of the 2026 regional qualifiers.
The competition, which was initially scheduled to begin on Monday, July 6, will now commence on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
In a statement addressed to the National President of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), Primetime Limited explained that the postponement was due to “circumstances beyond our control.”
The organisers apologised for any inconvenience caused and released a revised timetable for the regional qualifiers across the country.
They also urged CHASS to inform regional executives and participating schools, particularly those in the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western, and Western North regions, about the new schedule.

The organizers reassured all stakeholders of their commitment to a smooth competition despite the delay.
“We assure you that we shall do all within our power to ensure the prompt and smooth running of the competition, according to the new schedule provided,” the statement added.
