Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, under the erstwhile NDC government, Joseph Yamin is predicting the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)defeat in 2020 due to frustration.
In his view, a government barely a year in office is finding it difficult to make ends meet due to the lies it peddled in the 2016 electioneering campaign.
Joseph Yamin’s comment comes after NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central  Kennedy Agyapong threatened to reveal how the party won power in 2016.
The outspoken MP who claimed he is yet to get a contract under the Akufo-Addo government because some NPP members are plotting to collapse his business.
Ken Agyapong however warned those people to watch their backs when executing their diabolic plans.
“No one can also threaten me if they dare, I will come on radio and reveal how we won the election. If they can go and sit at Alisa Hotel and threaten to collapse my business…they should get ready for me…I am ready to face anybody in NPP… I have not been awarded any contract since we came to power…” he warned.
But Mr Yamin on Accra-abed Neat FM said Ken Agyapong’s lamentations exposes the frustration in government.
“When you give false hope to your people, these are the things you say. The ‘winner takes all’ issue is different than what ken is talking about. He is angry because he believes as an NPP MP; he is to be given a contract even if his company is not liable. That is dangerous for the country… It’s frustration. They [NPP] are unable to fulfill their promises… they made the bigger promises…” he explained.
“Ghanaians should listen to the NPP carefully. Those who claim they are floating voters should listen to Ken. This doesn’t hold…” he added.
Joseph Yamin cautioned ‘disappointed’ Ghanaians to be wary of the NPP party since they won’t hold on to the ‘juicy promises’ they assured before winning the 2016 polls.
“In 2020 the NPP will lose. Ghanaians are disappointed. Ghanaians will vote for a better party. The flat rate is affecting prices of goods. This is under a government who promised he will cut down tax. The additional regions haven’t been created. The one district one factory hasn’t started in June now it is July. Ghanaians took a wrong step in lies. Four years is close. People are calling for John Mahama…” he maintained.
