New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman hopeful, Paul Awentame Afoko, has commended the party’s vetting committee for what he described as its cordial and accommodating approach during his vetting.
The Cecilia Dapaah-led Vetting Committee began the exercise on Monday, August 31, 2026, with aspirants for the positions of National Chairman, General Secretary and National Treasurer appearing before the committee.
Mr Afoko, who was the first aspirant to be vetted for the National Chairperson position, said the process was conducted in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Speaking to the media after the exercise, he said the committee gave him the opportunity to engage freely with its members and was receptive throughout the process.
He said the interaction also went beyond the formal vetting, with members of the committee engaging him on some of the strategies he intends to pursue in his campaign.
Mr Afoko expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise and praised the committee for creating an environment that allowed for a constructive and open engagement.
