The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Branch in Germany, Dr. Nana Benyin Enninful, has assured that they are going to receive their greatest recognition when the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is elected President in the 2028 election.
He made these remarks at the Branch’s Thanksgiving and Unity Service held on 10th October, 2026, in Hannover.
Dr. Enninful was hopeful the recognition of the Branch and its members which had eluded them over the years was going to be restored by a Dr. Bawumia presidency.
He recalled assurances made by the flagbearer and his commitment to unleashing the energies and potentials of external branches and their members.
Chairman Enninful posited that the inclusion of some members of the Branch in various policy committees of the party was a sign of better things to come.
As a result, he admonished all members, both new and old, to unite and rally behind the party’s leadership, Dr. Bawumia for a resounding victory in 2028.
The event brought together party members and supporters to reflect on the party’s future and the role of its diaspora branches in strengthening its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku, who was also present, urged party members to embrace humility, discipline and collective responsibility, stressing that leadership should be built on trust and service.
He also encouraged the party to create opportunities for young people and draw on the contributions of Ghanaians in the diaspora.
The MP for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, called for commitment and teamwork, warning that internal divisions and acts of sabotage could undermine the party’s ambitions.
He urged members to rally behind the party’s leadership and work towards its 2028 electoral goal.
The programme featured Islamic prayers in Frankfurt on 9th October, 2026, and a Christian thanksgiving service on 10th October, 2026, in Hannover.
Other attendees included Ghanaian-born German mayor Raymond Höptner, Samuel Owusu Amankwaa, Nana Shackie Frimpong, first vice-chairman of the NPP Sweden branch, and Afia Animwaa Agyemang of the NPP UK branch.
