Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC) says though it heeds to the advice from all in the discharge of its duties, final decisions to compile a new register rests on the shoulders of the EC.

According to Dr Serebour Quaicoe, their focus is to work for Ghana and not any political party.

“We have been transparent in all our dealings. Political parties are aware of everything we are doing on the New Voters Register.

“We don’t have ulterior motive to suppress votes in opposition strongholds. We cannot do that. We work with clear consciences,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Friday.
