The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced Tuesday, September 15, 2026, as the official opening date for nominations for its 2026 Constituency Executive Elections.
In a statement signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah on behalf of the General Secretary, the party said the opening of nominations marks an important stage in its internal electoral process.
The party has therefore urged all members who intend to contest the various constituency executive positions to take advantage of the nomination window within the prescribed period.
According to the NDC, all payments for the picking and filing of nominations must be made strictly through its online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, using mobile money across all networks.
It said aspirants, proposers, seconders and endorsers must be members in good standing and must have fully settled their membership dues for the past four years.
Members with outstanding dues have been directed to settle their arrears via 92025# or through the party’s official dues platform.
The NDC also announced that campaign activities for the 2026 internal elections have officially opened at the constituency, regional and national levels.
It directed party officials, including regional and constituency officers and ward coordinators, to allow all eligible aspirants to campaign within their respective jurisdictions in accordance with the party’s rules and regulations.
However, the party stressed that the campaign window does not apply to persons pursuing or intending to pursue parliamentary ambitions.
This includes sitting Members of Parliament and individuals currently considering or expressing an intention to contest parliamentary elections.
The NDC warned that such persons are not permitted to engage in campaigning activities under the current internal election campaign window.
It said any breach of the directive would be treated seriously and dealt with in accordance with the party’s rules and regulations.
The National Secretariat further urged all constituencies, aspirants and members to conduct themselves with discipline, decorum and respect for the party’s democratic values throughout the electoral process.
It expressed confidence in the cooperation of members and constituencies to ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly and successful election.
