The First Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ahafo Region, Joseph Baradoe, has cautioned party members seeking regional executive positions against using insults and unsubstantiated allegations in their campaigns.

Mr Baradoe, who is seeking to become the party’s Regional Chairman, said such conduct could deepen divisions within the NDC and undermine its chances in the 2028 general elections.

He made the remarks while addressing the media at the party’s regional office in Mim after filing his nomination.

He urged aspirants and their supporters to focus on issues and avoid personal attacks as the party prepares for its internal elections.

Mr Baradoe said maintaining unity at all levels would be crucial to the NDC’s efforts to secure victory in the next general elections.

Explaining why delegates should elect him as Regional Chairman, he said his lobbying skills would help improve the welfare of party members across the region.

Meanwhile, the Ahafo Regional Deputy Youth Organiser, Razak Ahmed, is seeking to become the substantive Regional Youth Organiser, with job creation and youth participation in the party forming key parts of his agenda.

Speaking to Adom News after filing his nomination, Mr Ahmed said he would prioritise efforts to secure employment opportunities for young people and make the NDC more attractive to them.

He expressed confidence that, if elected, he could significantly expand the party’s support among the youth in the region.

Mr Ahmed said his target was to ensure that eight out of every 10 people identified through the party’s youth mobilisation efforts would be NDC members.
