Residents of Goaso in the Ahafo Region have appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to urgently address the deteriorating condition of the Goaso Municipal Hospital to improve healthcare delivery and safeguard lives.
They say the facility is struggling with inadequate logistics despite having competent health professionals, a situation they believe is affecting the quality of care available to patients.

Speaking to Adom News, some residents expressed concern that the hospital’s condition was discouraging people from seeking treatment there, raising questions about its ability to meet the healthcare needs of the municipality.
They called on the government to intervene and provide the necessary resources to improve the facility’s operations.
The residents stressed that plans to construct a new regional hospital for the Ahafo Region should not be used as a reason to neglect the existing municipal hospital, which continues to serve the population.
They urged the government to take immediate steps to address the challenges confronting the facility while pursuing its broader healthcare infrastructure plans.
During a recent visit to the region, President Mahama assured residents that the government would provide regional hospitals for all newly created regions, including Ahafo.
He urged them not to be worried, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure across the country.
