The National Resolution Centre has been activated as hundreds of parents and wards gather to seek solutions to challenges arising from the 2026 SHS placement exercise for BECE candidates.
The centre is expected to address concerns from parents and candidates facing difficulties with their placements as the government works to resolve outstanding issues surrounding the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
The development comes amid concerns over the number of candidates who have been unable to secure placements in senior high schools.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education clarified that over 54,985 candidates who obtained Grade 9 in either English Language or Mathematics in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have not been disqualified from accessing Senior High School (SHS) education.
The Deputy Education Minister, Dr. Clement Appak, encouraged candidates to access the CSSPS portal and follow the necessary steps to select schools with available vacancies.
