Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, says she was the first person in the country to talk about implementing the Free Senior High School Policy.

Akua Donkor was speaking at the Accra International Conference Centre where late Vice President, Amissah-Arthur was laid in state.

According to her, the idea of Free SHS was part of her 2012 manifesto which Nana Addo surreptitiously stole because it is a splendid idea.

I am the one who first suggested the Free SHS idea. I started my campaign in 2012 and continued in 2016… I am not mad that Nana Addo took the idea because we are all Ghanaians. Even if he needs my help I will freely offer it”, she said.

The politician further rubbished the rumours that she isn’t in good terms with President Akufo-Addo, saying Nana Addo should invite her to important public functions since she’s played a key part in developing the country.

I don’t hate Akuffo-Addo but he doesn’t call me. He should take me into consideration when he is inviting people to special functions“, he asked.
