The Northern Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed their sympathy to victims of the  Bagre Dam spillage in the Northern region.
The spillage claimed seven lives destroying thousands of acres of farmlands and jeopadizing the livelihood of over 10,000 people living at the banks of the White Volta.
They have called on government  to as a matter of urgency provide relief to the affected victims.
The Regional Secretary of the NDC, Sualisu Be-Awuribe accussed the Akufo-Addo led  administration of being very insensitive in the plight of the victims.
He recalled how the President and vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would have rushed to funerals of fowls and flooding of gutters just to win votes but has turned a blind eye to the plight of the victims.
Mr. Be-Awubire urged government to revist the Mahama administration’s plan of building a hydro cum modern irrigation dam at Pwalugu to not only contain excess water from such a spillage but also boost the economy of the North.
He added that, the NDC is currently supporting the victims with some relief items to the affected victims while they await government support.
