A mother of three has lost her home, GH¢5,000 cash and personal belongings after a fire destroyed her single-room self-contained apartment at Agona Nsabaa in the Agona East District of the Central Region.
The fire also destroyed the belongings of her son, who is preparing to report to Senior High School (SHS), including his mattress, trunk and school uniforms.
The victim, Abena Esaawaa, said she was selling by the roadside when she was informed that her house was on fire.
By the time she arrived at the scene, the fire had already ravaged the room and destroyed its contents.
Ms Esaawaa told Adom News the incident has left her son without the essential items he needs to begin his SHS education.
She is appealing to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the government and benevolent individuals to come to her aid.
Ms Esaawaa said she urgently needs support to replace her son’s school supplies and rebuild her life after losing her belongings and GH¢5,000 in the fire.
