President John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to fathers across Ghana and around the world as Father’s Day was marked, urging men to remain committed to raising the next generation of leaders, innovators and responsible citizens.
In a message shared on social media to commemorate the occasion, the President acknowledged the important role fathers play in the development of families and society.
“Happy Father’s Day to all men. Let’s continue to build giants!” he wrote in a Facebook post.
The President’s message highlighted the significance of fatherhood and the need for men to continue investing in the growth, guidance and development of their children.
Father’s Day is celebrated annually in many countries to honour fathers and father figures for their contributions to their families and communities.
The occasion provides an opportunity to recognise the sacrifices, support and mentorship fathers offer in shaping the lives and futures of their children.
