President John Dramani Mahama will on Monday, September 14, 2026, oversee the handing over of the cleared right-of-way for the Accra–Kumasi Expressway Project.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Kwaso, near Ejisu, at 11:00 a.m.
According to the Presidency, the exercise marks a significant step towards advancing the strategic road project, which is expected to improve road connectivity between Accra and Kumasi.
The project is also expected to facilitate the movement of people and goods along the major transport corridor and contribute to improved efficiency in road transportation.
The handing over of the right-of-way clearance will pave the way for further activities towards the development of the Accra–Kumasi Expressway.
The project is being spearheaded by the Ministry of Roads and Highways in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces.
