Tributes have been pouring for the late former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan who died on Saturday morning in Bern.

They include Ghana’s former president, John Dramani Mahama who described the late UN Secretary-General as a person who spent his life working for global peace, security and sustainable development.

“He lived and worked for global peace, security and sustainable development in very challenging times. A proud son of Ghana and Africa. RIP Kofi Annan,” John Mahama posted on his Facebook page on Saturday.

Kofi Annan passed away today, Saturday, August 20187 after a short illness at a Hospital in the Swiss city of Bern.
