The Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, is presenting the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament.

The review will assess the economy’s performance against the targets set in the 2026 budget, which sought to move Ghana from macroeconomic stabilisation to sustained economic growth while maintaining fiscal discipline.

Since the budget was presented in November 2025, the economy has recorded stronger-than-expected performance, with inflation falling to 5.3 per cent alongside improvements in fiscal consolidation, the external sector and debt sustainability.

Dr Forson is also expected to provide updates on government revenue, public expenditure, debt management and financing strategies for the second half of 2026.

No new taxes are expected to be announced, as the government is likely to maintain the current tax regime while focusing on implementing existing fiscal measures to preserve macroeconomic stability.
