Former referee’s Appointment Committee Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey has challenged the football governing body to allow competent individuals to run its flagship product, the premier league with spelt out mandates for better assessments.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate sports show, Mr. Abbey is of the view that when the participating clubs appoints a leader and is mandated for a year or more to bring great reforms it will go a long way to help build the league.
According to him, these individuals must be given time lines, realistic mandates and a free hand to fully run the affairs of the premier league.
“We need to get private individuals aside the Ghana Football Association leaders to take over the administration of the league and be mandated over a period”, Randy concluded.
The Ghana Premier League is Run by the Premier League Board, a subsidiary of the Ghana Football Association.
