The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, has paid tribute to Ghanaian workers on the occasion of May Day, praising their contribution to national development and economic progress.
She said the resilience and commitment of workers across all sectors remain the backbone of the country’s growth and transformation.
“This May Day, we honour the hardworking men and women of Ghana whose dedication and sacrifice continue to drive our nation forward.”
She reaffirmed government’s commitment to placing labour at the centre of its development agenda, particularly under what she described as the “Reset agenda” being led by President John Dramani Mahama.
“As we advance the Reset agenda under the leadership of His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, labour remains central to a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous economy.”
According to her, government will continue to pursue policies aimed at expanding opportunities, strengthening economic growth, and improving working conditions for all citizens.
“Government is committed to widening opportunities and growth while promoting dignity, fairness, and improved livelihoods.”
She concluded by expressing appreciation to Ghanaian workers for their continued service and dedication to nation-building.
“We commend all Ghanaian workers for their service.”
