Comic actor Kwaku Manu has revealed that although he has a close relationship with several Ghanaian musicians, his bond with Shatta Wale stands out.
According to Kwaku Manu, his choice is not necessarily based on the musical abilities of the artistes, but rather on the reception and personal connection he experiences whenever they meet.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, he said Shatta Wale gives him a different level of comfort whenever they meet.
Kwaku Manu explained that Shatta Wale’s welcoming nature is what makes their relationship particularly special to him.
“I love all the musicians. They are my friends. Everyone and their musical prowess, but the one I am most comfortable with is Shatta. Whenever we meet, it’s a different level. The way he is welcoming and all,” he added.
It is based on this relationship that he attends all of Shatta’s concert, and even flew to UK for the maiden edition of ShattaFest Party in the Park.
When asked about female musicians, Kwaku Manu mentioned rapper Eno Barony as the artiste he is closest to.
