Kumasi Asante Kotoko will face Congolese Club, Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA) in the preliminary stages of 2018 CAF competition.
The first leg will be played on the weekend of 9th to 11th February, 2018 whilst the second leg comes off on the 20th-21st February, 2018.
Kotoko will be making a return to Africa after their first-round elimination by MC El Eulma of Algeria in the first leg qualifying round of the 2015 CAF Champions League.
This will be their third time in the CAF Confederations Cup after being finalist in 2004 and a group stage finish in 2008.

  1. Can you tell us what sort of competition precisely it is, other than ‘the preliminary stages of 2018 CAFcompetition’? Which of the leagues are they aspiring to win? Is it because they won the Ghanaian league last year or what?
