The Juaso Citizens in the Diaspora have donated a drone to support security agencies in the Asante Akyem South Municipality as part of efforts to improve surveillance, emergency response and public safety.
The equipment is expected to assist the Juaso Police Command, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the Ghana Immigration Service and other relevant agencies in monitoring activities and responding to security threats.
The donation by the Juaso Citizens in the Diaspora is aimed at strengthening the capacity of security and emergency response institutions within the municipality.
Speaking to Adom News, the Coordinator of the group, Kwame Takye, said the gesture demonstrates their commitment to contributing to the development and safety of Juaso and its surrounding communities.
He explained that the drone will support the operations of the Juaso Police Station, NADMO, the Ghana Immigration Service and other security agencies by enhancing surveillance, improving intelligence gathering and enabling quicker responses during emergencies.
Mr Takye expressed the hope that the equipment would complement existing efforts by authorities to protect lives and property while promoting peace and development in the Asante Akyem South Municipality.
