The widow of legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba, popularly known as Odo Broni, has unveiled a special tattoo in memory of her late husband as the family marks one year since his passing.

The tattoo, placed on her left arm, features an image of Daddy Lumba singing with a microphone, accompanied by the inscription “Forever in My Heart.”

Odo Broni revealed the tattoo during activities marking the first anniversary of the death of the music icon, a year after Ghana lost one of its most celebrated highlife musicians.

As part of the anniversary observance, Odo Broni, together with the children of the late musician, participated in traditional widowhood rites held in his honour.

Family members and close associates were present to show their support, while her brothers also paid their last respects to their late “Akonta”.

Daddy Lumba’s family has also outdoored his cousin to represent them in Odo Broni’s family as part of the traditional arrangements following his passing.

The highlife legend died on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra after a brief illness at the age of 60.

His death brought an outpouring of grief from fans, musicians and public figures across Ghana and beyond, with tributes continuing to celebrate his decades-long contribution to Ghanaian music.
