Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, who is the Founding President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach has dispelled rumors that there’s bad blood between himself and his colleague Pastor, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah.
One of the unpleasant moments that nearly marred the success of the final funeral rites of dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns at the State House last Saturday was how the international preacher took a swipe at Rev. Owusu for disrupting his sermon after he arrived at the funeral grounds and was mobbed by a crowd while exchanging pleasantries while the sermon was ongoing.
However Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh who felt his preaching was being disrupted by the noise that had been generated by Rev Owusu Bempah’s gesture, expressed his misgivings by raising his voice saying:
“Ladies and gentlemen I’m preaching…I think this is one thing which we are doing in Ghana which is so disrespectful…A man of God is preaching; we should show respect: it is not right. Rev Isaac join me up stage.
That incident sparked speculation among a section of the public that the two popular men of God were not on good terms.
But reacting to the rumours on Adom TV, Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh stated that he has absolutely no problem with Rev. Owusu Bempah whom he describes as his brother.
He added that disrespecting a fellow man of God will be the last thing he’ll ever do in private let alone on such a public event which was being carried live on national TV.
“Why do we love to create problems between pastors. Rev Owusu Bempah is my friend, why will I disrespect or embarrass him. Even the money he had on him that day, when he joined me up the stage I took all and shared it to people around us and told him that next time he should carry more money on him. He even called me yesterday and we had a lovely chat, he was surprised about the sort of commentary that was going on about the incident.”
