General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensa Otabil, has described as unfortunate media publications suggesting that he has lambasted the leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, following his recent prophecy on December 31, 2018.

According to Dr Mensa Otabil, he has not made any comments on Rev. Owusu Bempah’s predictions.

A statement issued on Thursday and signed by the Executive Pastor of the ICGC, Rev. Albert Ocran said the comments from a video excerpt being circulated were made by Dr. Mensa Otabil on Sunday, March 4, 2018.

In the video, Dr. Mensa Otabil noted that “doom predictions” tend to destroy the already struggling self-confidence level of people, adding that Africans naturally battle with inferiority complex and fear.

The statement noted, however, that the thoughts expressed in the video clearly reflect the perspective of Dr. Mensa Otabil on the subject matter [but] “pitting the two together as was done in the publication creates an unfortunate impression that Pastor Otabil’s comments were directly targeted at Rev. Owusu-Bempah. It is important to state that Pastor Otabil has made no comment in relation to the prophecies made by Rev. Owusu-Bempah”.

The statement further condemned the attacks on the premises of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International.
