Reinstated Upper West Regional Minister, Alhassan Suleman says he has learnt great lessons from his suspension that will shape his political career in the future.

He described as an ordeal, his indefinite suspension characterised by sleepless nights as he resorted to solitary life following his political troubles.

President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Friday, 4th May, 2018, reinstated, with immediate effect, the suspended Upper West
Regional Minister.

He was suspended indefinitely after he allegedly ordered the release of some NPP thugs who attacked the NADMO office in the region.

A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin said “The report exonerates the Regional Minister from any wrongdoing in the unfortunate incident of 31st January, 2018, including attempting to pervert the course of justice.”

Alhassan Sulemana in an interview following his reinstatement said after a sober reflection of the issues he realised he ought not to have involved himself in things that do not border on his official duties.

“Whatever that is happening in the course of work, you need to give it a serious attention. I have seen there is a great difference between official and traditional or social work, or what I did i felt it was a social responsibility, but then while i was in the house, I reflected that officially I shouldn’t have done that,” he told Joy FM.
